WineChannelTV is the new online social community destination for wine enthusiasts. So what’s the big deal about this, like we don’t watch enough TV or drink enough wine now? Truthfully, you need a new channel for both. Yeah, you do. Turn this on!

jess 4Jess Altieri is one of today’s quintessential vino entrepreneurs.  Her mantra that wine is just a conversation waiting to happen get jump started with the channel’s Facebook Fan Page and Twitter platform.  She is a Gen-Y sommelier who seems to grasp that wine is supposed to simply taste good and  leave a nice buzz in its wake.

We think she’s building some fresh, credible content and given time, it’s going to go viral.  Check out her cool travel video blog documenting her road journeys and wine encounters.  There’s some Thompsonesk sensibility in that she seems to know that when the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. It matters not that she can pronounce correctly any particular wine.  It only matters to her that whatever is ultimately opened tastes good and brings the fun.  A sommelier after our own hearts.

  • In every video, Just Jess says, "Wine is just a conversation waiting to happen." But every video is just her doing a monologue. If there's going to be a conversation on one of her videos, I'm still waiting for it to happen.
