The Hubris of Social Media Expertise
There’s little shock anymore that social media extends to more people now than any other media. But could social media truly have the most profound impact on people since television? I’d say possible but let’s not forget the songs about the video that killed the radio star too quickly. What about social media becoming the next big thing in entertainment? I suggest that we start counting and adding up the results, what we’ll get might be nothing less than remarkable.
No doubt there’s a long road to travel until we can establish social media as a next cliche theme for songs and poems, but I would venture to say we are heading in that direction. I wonder how long will it take movie producers to release blockbusters about social media? “I know what you did on Twitter” sounds pretty cool to me.
