New data released Monday from the Archives of Internal Medicine manages to make both our hearts and palates soar. Here's the scoop. Light to moderate alcohol consumption, especially red wine, is not only good for a woman's heart, it's also good for her waistline. Producers from the television hit The Biggest Loser called for further study and caution after contestants began ordering significant quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon and Chilean Carménère for immediate delivery to the set.

Yes, my past surprises people. I openly admit to having had a rough adolescence. I had severe depression and behavioral problems, which led me to “special kid” classes/schools, learning disabilities, and other problems which I will not mention (but thankfully overcame). I created Seattle Wine Gal as an experiment. Everything that I wanted to do working for corporate, but was not ‘allowed’ to, I did with Seattle Wine Gal (from dropping the F bomb occasionally in my tweets, to pics of me guzzling expensive wine out of the bottle on my Facebook page).

Let's talk about fun, drinking and romance while gaming but let's not look away from reality when we do it -- wine is not and has never been a beverage for the drinking game. So we can eliminate it from this conversation. There are and have always been serious weaknesses with beer pong: the indoor sterility, the constant overdose of boring Bud and Miller Lite, the obligatory, ballerina-like pose we affect when throwing the pathetically lightweight ball. It seriously leaves something to be desired, as far as drinking games go. Truth is, it's pretty hack.

A Vook is a digital kind of book that manages to interweave video, links to the internet and text into one application that's available both on the Web and as a mobile application. It was interesting when it began in 2009 with some modest titles ranging from The 90 Second Fitness Solution to Gary Vaynerchuk's Crush It. But it is really the addition of a literary heavy weight like Anne Rice choosing to adapt the format that seems like the potential game changer.

Hockey used to be the quintessential beer sport, right? It's true. I mean think about it. Would any self respecting hockey fan ever have been caught dead with a glass of wine watching a game with friends who knew actually him? But it's beginning to happen. Don't adjust your set. What your starting to see, and right out in the open, is conspicuous, liberal vino consumption. And you know one of the final hurdles to wider fan acceptance is cleared when Zen Masters Chris and Adrian Nadeau of The Hockey Zen bring it right out on the ice front and center.

We love to see you with leis of wild flowers and gooseberries bouncing on your bosoms; you absorb all the herbal essences around you. You are young and fresh - crisp even - with taut skin and daring spunk. You have the steely courage to bound up to us bare-naked. Yet when you do shed and cloths of oak you present yourself in a most exotic way. All of us would agree that you are perfect au naturel!
