Anne Marie; Wine Model to Oenophile

We’ve received a large number of inquiries over the past two years from fans and consumers alike asking who is the girl featured in so many of Sacre Bleu’s  ads and promotional posters. Since it really doesn’t qualify as a State secret, we thought it would be fun to tell you a little bit about the young lady with the name Anne Marie.

She began work for us more than two years ago. We felt right away that she had a great look for the brand.  Yeah, she’s sexy but not in a camp way and she has a way of projecting a real sincerity, a genuine requisite among wine drinkers.

Anne Marie admitted to us not long ago that she wasn’t all that into wine when she began working with the brand.  It wasn’t until she traveled to Europe in a study abroad program that she began to see what all the fuss was about.  ”Everyone drank it there all the time.  It didn’t matter what the occasion was“.  And now, if one asks her what her favorite wine varietal is she is quick to answer Merlot.  Check it.  We’re sure Miles is absolutely beside himself at this revelation.  She’s drinking f@#$%^&g Merlot!  She’s also talking about a soft spot now for Rioja Tempranillo and Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon.  You see where this is going.

It’s the music, though, that is likely to dominate much of her life going forward.  She blogs at YOU SEE IT, YOU FEEL IT, BUT IT’S NOT THERE mostly about lyrics that particularly move her or get stuck in her head for no reason.  Oh, and if you must know even more about what makes her tick, some of her favorite books include Anthem by Ayn Rand, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer, Walking by Henry David Thoreau, A Place in the Sun by Slim Aarons and The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky.

Her studies at the University of Minnesota are coming to an end this summer and she’s making a career transition to music presently working with Warner Elektra Atlantic, a division of the Warner Music Group.  She was short on time while talking with us yesterday as she was busy with final preparations for the premier of The White Stripes new film Under The Great White Northern Lights.

We hope this sheds some new light on the young woman who has graciously allowed us to adorn the brand with her face.  All correspondence and comments pertaining to Anne Marie can be directed to info@sacrebleuwine.com.
